Ujjivan works in a hub and spoke model, by which
each city of operations has a central office for
processing, technology and administration. There
are branch offices set up at the field level that
are primarily responsible for all customer interaction-
selling and servicing. We use the factory concept
for the centralised processing of all data recording,
transaction processing, preparation of reports
and document storage.
Our objective is to use the highly efficient operation,
technology and processes of modern retail financial
institutions to ensure capacity building and economies
of scale. Complete operational support is given
to the front-end team to function at their optimum
capacity.
Through this model Ujjivan can achieve greater
economies of scale as it services such large customer
growth, standardized procedures, tighter controls
on branch activity, centralized-objective Credit
approvals, and real-time information gathering,
while a greater freedom is extended to the branches
to focus all efforts on the customer. For this
reason, Ujjivan can offer a wide variety of products
and services to its customers.
