Saturday, 2nd February 2008 was a day of celebration at Karnataka’s Ramnagar branch
as it held its inaugural center leaders meet to mark the occasion of its one-year
anniversary and of reaching 3,000 customers. In total more than 600 people attended
the event, which included Group and Centre Leaders, Field Staff, and members of Ujjivan’s
Leadership Team.
Herman Mulder, Vice Chairman of ABN AMRO Foundation and Moumita Sen Sarma, Vice President
and Head of Microfinance, India for ABN-AMRO attended this key milestone celebration.
ABN-AMRO is one of the earliest banks to support Ujjivan.
The event was organized to re-enforce Centre and Group leaders’ responsibities and get
feedback from them. At the event, Samit Ghosh, CEO of Ujjivan, congratulated the branch
on their outstanding achievements and excellent field discipline. In addition,
he announced the branch’s upcoming launch of Arogya Raksha Yojana (ARY) Health Insurance,
a comprehensive scheme that provides primary, secondary, and tertiary care, including
local access to a free clinic and over 1600 free surgeries at net work hospitals.
