Center Leaders Meet held in Koramangala

Over 500 Ujjivan center leaders and customers gathered on July 3 for a Center Leaders Meet. The program was held at the Austin Town Community Hall.

Ujjivan's two new initiatives- the health insurance program and the housing loan product - were introduced at the meeting. Representatives from Biocon Foundation, Rani Desai and Umesh, gave presentations to explain the health insurance program, which is being offered to Ujjivan customers. The health insurance program offers low-cost health coverage to Ujjivan customers and family members, starting at Rs. 120 per family member per year.

Harish Dubey, from ICICI Bank, Ujjivan's financial partner for the health insurance program, was also present at the meeting.

"I think that the meeting went very well and the turn-out was high. The customers are very interested in the program," said Satyashree Akella, microfinance-plus program director. "The customers are excited and eager to sign up for health insurance," added Natesh Kumar A., healthcare field staff.

Product Manager Anjali Banthia and Chief of Field Audit T.M. Viswanathan spoke about Ujjivan's new housing product at the meeting. “We were pleased with the response to the housing product at the Center Leaders Meeting. It was a good opportunity to share the product features and benefits and encourage customers to maintain strong discipline and repayments so they can qualify for the product,” said Anjali Banthia.
