Kolkata Knight Riders finish Year on a High: 12 Branches & 15,000+ Customers

Ujjivan’s operations started in Kolkata on April 30th 2007 when the first branch opened at Tollygunge. The regional team knew from that moment that they had their work cut out for them if they were to reach their target of opening 12 new branches during the fiscal year ending 31st March, 2008. No obstacles would hold them back. On 29th and 31st of March, the 11th & 12th branches were opened in Park Circus and Shibpur.

The search for office premises that meet Ujjivan’s three primary criteria – location near customers, space large enough to accommodate operations, and an affordable price ¬– proved to be a significant hurdle for Kolkata’s final two branches. It wasn’t until March 27th that the team was able to secure a branch location for Park Circus. After holding a branch inauguration ceremony on the 29th, they quickly switched gears, and all hands were on deck to find the Shibpur branch location.

Time and tide awaits no one. The search has already begun to open the first branch of the 2008 - 2009 fiscal year.
