Ujjivan Kolkata races to 50,000 customers in 16 months

On 19th September, 2008 Ujjivan’s Kolkata branches have reached 50,000 customers. The eastern region now services the poor from its 30 branches in two states of West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Kolkata region’s first branch started operations on 30th April, 2007 at Tollygunge. On 9 February, Kolkata region reached 10,000 customers, in another 7 months it raced to the 50,000 mark.

The Kolkata Region plans to commemorate its 50,000 customer outreach milestone as well as the 150,000 mark of Ujjivan Parivar by celebrating in a big way. MD, Mr. Samit Ghosh and COO (East) Mr. Santosh Roy, greeted and congratulated the Kolkata team on being the part of this achievement.
