Kolkata’s Kalighat Branch Holds First Center Leaders Meet

Ujjivan’s Kalighat Branch held a Center Leaders Meet in Kolkata on 6th, March 2008 to bring customers together for a chance to interact with each other and Ujjivan’s staff. The event began with a traditional dance and Tagore song called "Aguner Parashmoni" performed by the Center and Group Leaders. Santosh Kumar Roy, COO of Kolkata, officially kicked off the meeting by lighting a lamp. In total, nearly 400 customers and their family members attended the event.

The Center Leaders Meeting also included presentations from Kolkata’s Leadership team on the future directions of Ujjivan and a report on Kalighat’s performance to date. The program ended with a theatrical performance put on by the Center Leaders about how Ujjivan is helping poor, working women to develop a better life.
