Marketing team meet
The Ujjivan marketing team got together at Bangalore for a 3-day marketing meet in February. The first day was a marketing team brainstorming session. The discussions ranged from the need for a customer-centric approach to product development to branding and communication. The session was made lively by marketing personnel from different regions sharing their knowledge and facilitating the amalgamation of regional perspectives into an organisation wide marketing strategy, making the experience an enlightening one for the entire team.

On day two, Mr. Ravi Arapurakal, a renowned Management Consultant and Coach based in New Jersey, helped the team look at the marketing function from a new and holistic perspective.  The session took the team on a journey – starting from the meaning of marketing and culminating in a clear pathway to building a successful brand and business through customer insights and value creation. Along the way  Mr.Arapurakal threw light on different aspects of marketing such as communication and advertising.

The team hit the road on day three, to reach ‘BreakThrough’- an outdoor team building centre on the outskirts of Bangalore. The day was action packed and thrilling as the team engaged in activities like tight-rope walking and other strategy and fun team events with the objective of imbibing the qualities of open communication, willingness to be accountable and innovative thinking while staying aligned to Ujjivan’s goal. The presence of personnel from other functions such as Service Quality, Finance and Distribution made the event even more enjoyable with everyone egging each other on with a spirit of camaraderie. The time together at ‘BreakThrough’ helped different functions understand each other better and fostered team bonding. The day ended on a high note, literally, with a jump from a 40-feet high rock on a flying-fox at an average speed of 3 seconds per hundred feet.

Refreshed and energized after a day in the open, the marketing team returned to their respective regions with insights on product and brand management. With renewed zeal and enthusiasm, the team looks to implementing the strategies chalked out at the meet and building on the learnings from the event, helping Ujjivan move ahead in full-steam.
