Ujjivan tops 25,000 customers

Ujjivan Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. reached over 25,000 customers in the month of June. Ujjivan operates 13 branches in Bangalore and 2 branches each in Kolkata and Delhi.

"This is a great achievement for Ujjivan. We are proud to be serving so many customers, especially in the urban space, where the demand is high for microfinance services. From a financial perspective, reaching 25,000 customers will help towards achieving operational self-sufficiency. This is a step in the right direction", said Govindarajan R., CFO.

Ujjivan has reached this milestone over the past year and a half of operations.

"We have learned many key insights along the way to reaching 25,000 customers, such as how to acquire quality customers and how to grow the business. We will use those insights to take our program forward in the coming years", said Shantha Kumar, Manager of Distribution and Marketing.

Carol Furtado, Head of Operations, said, “The unique multi product offering to our customers combined with an efficient back end technology support facilitating centralized operations contributed significantly in us achieving this significant milestone within such a short period.”

Ujjivan plans to reach over half a million customers by its 6th year of operations.
