Managing Ujjivan’s audit teams across our various regions in terms of annual planning, execution, and follow up.
Identifying the different types of field audits necessary at the branch level (i.e. long audits, short audits and surprise audits).
Drawing up annual action plans for conducting audits.
Sourcing experienced audit personnel and ensuring that they are trained on Ujjivan’s field audit processes and procedures, with particular focus on critical field observations and analysis of the process at the branch. Training on our product programs and processes will occur in-house and training on field processes will occur in the field.
Conducting short audits of all branches, and ensuring that surprise audits are conducted with identified senior personnel every month and at all branches in consultation with the CEO.
Detecting fraudulent transactions in the branch in coordination with the risk and fraud team.
Obtaining reports from audit field staff on the deficiencies observed in the process at the branch at periodic intervals during the course of the audit.
Rectifying deficiencies wherever feasible during the period of the audit.
Compiling the audit reports to submit to the CEO and after vetting, circulating the same to the branch, head of operations, distribution manager, area manager, and manager of risk and fraud.
Submitting an executive summary to the audit committee of the board on short audits conducted.
Following up on audit reports for compliance and final closure of the report.
Tracking the progress of audit across all regions of Ujjivan and ensuring a proper reporting system.
Creating periodic briefings for the CEO on the status of audits in other regions.
Recommending suitable changes in field procedure based on experiences of the branches and observations.
Conducting area survey cross checks for verifying the feasibility of opening new branches.
Experience and Background
Desired experience and professional background for the Chief of Field Audit includes:
A graduate degree, preferably in commerce.
Possesses an aptitude for field work, as the assignment is more field focused.
Personnel retired from banks (VRS) with a flair for field work can also be considered.
Should have analytical skills to think through the field audit process and understand field level situations and problems.
Should have a two wheeler for mobility.
Compensation
Competitive with market for the social sector, commensurate with
