Compensation & Benefits

Ujjivan’s compensation is among the best in the microfinance industry. We offer a balanced package that aims to maximize current take home pay based on performance, statutory long term benefits like Provident Fund and Gratuity, and other benefits including medical coverage. 

Ujjivan believes in rewarding performance and giving our employees a stake in our success. Our compensation packages for field staff are designed with fixed and variable incentive elements. All members of the staff are eligible for an annual performance bonus. Our Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP) is a valuable pathway to sharing the wealth and creation among those who have built the company. We introduced the ESOP Scheme for all employees and directors in 2007. 

Training and Development

Training on functional skills, industry knowledge, communications and management/leadership are conducted regularly. Field staff begin employment with a comprehensive orientation program, which includes both classroom and on the job training. All employees are required to participate in training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
